Several days ago,I saw an announcement noticing for collecting iKad which was sticking on blackboard in the college.And yesterday I picked up the card.
As you know I applied iKad in July and at that time the office told me that I can get the iKad by September.But in fact I get it at the end of October which has been late for a month,anyway it is still acceptable.
Now I can use it instead of my passport.It will be really release my pocket and bring to me some conveniences.Upon my observations I realized that the card has integrated photos,chips and special interface etc as the way to prevent forging.If you take a close look of the back of card,you can find out that the last line of NOTIFICATION is providing the way to check the status of card holder.
Whether in the near future,the card has more functions?Like electronic visa?If you are foreign students,workers,employers and even PR holders in Malaysia,you should apply for it since it can help you reduce the possibility of losing or damaging your passport.And on the other way,I believe that the government is still available to make further improvements on processing time and as I said,perhaps developing more functions.

please bare in mind that this IKAD is not valid any where in malaysia excpet with the police in malaysia. This Card helps the police to know the status of the foreigner, but this card doest allow to open the bank account, or surity or any other such things
Yeah,I need to make some corrections here.
IKAD could function as a temporary identification.However,it cannot fully work as a passport for the things that mentioned above.
Well,I hope Malaysian government can move further to make IKAD more applied to daily use.
how to know the expiry date for the iKad, is the valid date have to refer to the passpost VISA
Yes,the valid date refers to the VISA you have and it will automatically be updated once you renew your VISA.
Check the back of IKAD,there are some instructions to indicate the way of checking the validation of your stay.

Yes,foreigner could still hold IKAD even though the VISA has been expired and every person who gets the necessary info can check the valid status by SMS.
can we go out from the country on this ikad or not because someone told me that it is valid for malaysian immigration. u can exit from the country without any stamps on your passport. just u have to swipe your card and that's it but at the next immigration counter u have to show your passport.
So far I didn't hear any illustrations on this iKad of that function.Sorry.

No,you cannot work in Malaysia once your working permit expired.
Dear mr Liciece, i saw a nomber in the back of the card for reference us if we need check validity of the card. all we need is just send sms to the nomber mentioned in the card. but sometimes i didnt get any fedbback. is that nomber fake or true?
that number is true.You can check your status in the most time.

I don't know whether the people has iKad or not.If yes,you could follow the way which shows at the back of that card to check the validity of current working permit.Otherwise,asking an officer will be the only way.

Your account will be still valid unless you closed it up before or your account was forced to close up because no sufficient funds inside the account.
We have try to check the expiration renewal date at the back of the card instruction by SMS but no reply from them. Can we check by online? And what is the website name? Please guide us accordingly.
All guides are provided at the back of that card.Up to now,I don't think you have other ways to check for the renewal date except by sms.
