Made a complaint to TM Net customer service(7)

(I only hope this will be the last post about the topic.)

A technician(Nizam) came to my house just now.He asked me whether the connection went into normal.I checked the status at once and happily the line turns into stable.

linksys modem screenshot He told me that before he came,he just checked up the alongside line which links with my phone line and he found some parts of the cable got problem.Thus,he’d repaired it and then came here.As the result shows,I think my issue was definitely caused by the faulty cable.

He’s quite kind and answered my questions politely.Most important thing is he could understand what I asked for.(Some customer service officers always answered me B when I asked for A.They lack of professional knowledge.)And at last he left his office number to me so that I can directly call him if I meet some other issues in the future.

By the way,when will TM Net improve its efficiency and quality of work?It takes 8 days to solve the problem.Did it surprise you?

  1. u r lucky that your problem is solved. i'm facing the similiar problem. the contractor and the TM (telekom) are kicking the ball. No solution yet. any suggestion?

    • What is the conclusion for the case they said?Actually I called them more than 10 times.Now I still find the line is not so stable,just a bit above average only.I had called the technician to come for further check tomorrow and hopefully it could make a big improvement.

      Regarding to your case,do you have report No.?If yes,I suggest you calling to TM net customer service every day to ask for the update of your case.If they still won't do anything for you,you could consider to make a complaint to MCMC.I hope that could help you.Good luck!

  2. 15/03/10 – contacted tm call center for latest promotion "Blockbuster" throw in few question

    ME: Do TM extra charges from exiting 1MB (RM88) to 2MB (BB RM140) package?

    CS: no extra charges

    ME: Any up front charges?

    CS: no charges, your next bill will be charge RM140

    ME: what is my exiting line support MB? can it be 4MB?

    CS: you need to go to nearest tmpoint to check, normally 1MB line to 2MB is possible but 4MB no promise.

    18/03/10 – today i went in tmpoint puchong branch for their latest blockbuster package

    SC: we'll charge RM88 for the upgrade!

    ME: why?

    SC: because this is for new sign up only

    ME: but you tm call center say it can be done without any charges.

    SC: that one you need to refer to them.

    ME: that why I'm here now after I refer to them

    SC: the RM88 charges was for technician to change your 1MB port to 2MB port

    ME: why customer have to bare this technician cost?

    SC: the rules from TM, please refer to head office.

    ME: …….

    SC: If you want to complaint, go ahead…

    ME: ……… walk out…..

    18/03/10 – again contact TM100 to verify the blockbuster package

    ME: Is there any extra charges from my exiting Streamyx package switch to Blockbuster package?

    CS: No, this package is for new and exiting customer

    ME: are you sure?

    CS: yes, please make yourself to TM point for registering

    ME: This morning I went in but the told me there's will be charges RM88 for technician to switching 1MB to 2MB

    CS: you need to refer to TM point

    ME: they ask me to refer to CS, now you told me to refer to TM point. Which is which?

    the line was cut off………………….

    So, this is how the treat 10 years supporter

    Nothing more it just another scam deal from Telekom Malaysia. Syabas! Malaysia Boleh!

    I make up decision after 10 years with TMNut! it time to switch to others ISP!

    "Telekom Malaysia" a brand that never learn!

    • I could understand what you meet.Actually I have several times of billing issues among the past years.No one could answer me what the charges are for and no rebates till now.

  3. I guess…after reading your complaints, customers should be confused by the them…wat you can do, next time you walk in to TMpoint with a serious problem, look for the manager..They should be able to assist…

    • Firstly,I had tried to get a manager at the TMpoint once,it was so hard to find him and I had to spend two days to make an appointment meeting him.After that,he only assigned a technician to check.It was sort of wasting time.

  4. i had many issues earlier with Tm and also with other providers. Actually i'm about to apply for Blockbuster deal 1MBPS. Reason is Celcom or Digi or Maxis is too slow for my usage. Now i don't really have much choice. is it ok to believe TM after so sour and bitter past experience with them???

  5. downtime from 24-08-2010 till now 31-08-2010 still no one response , wonder that tm-net got staff working or not and keep calling at-least 3-4 times per-day to complaint and can't even fix it in time . the procedure time suppose to be 48 hours and after 48 hours its become dramatic and all the operator and even supervisor are pushing all the responsibility here and there … means users have to solve it themself ???? WHAT THE FXXK of the service is that …

  6. TMnet's abuse extends to everything – including billing. I got a "normal" reminder phone call that my bill was overdue. warm and nice, no mention of line being cut. I paid on-line within 10 minutues and received e-mail confirmation from my bank. TM did not update the system and 4 days later, they cut my line, without any notice. When I called them and gave payment details, they said it will take up to 24 hours to re-open my line. The service level is slower than the Government Agencies! You can get an International passport in 1 hour, get black-listing uplifted in 2, get road tax in 10 mintues. TM/Streamyx needs 5 days to update – they don't see any need to improve!

    Complain to the Multimedia Commission. Help break the monopoly/market dominance. These complaints are auditable, and will help other ISPs create competition. Believe in Change!

    • i feel that TM is making some changes,but the movement is still slow.Some technicians are very hard-working and efficient,but not every one.I hope TM could train their staff fitting their positions.

  7. my internet disconnected installed at my home is not working for last 6 days. i three time contact and lodge complaint on 100 but no action taken until now. plz solve my problem is facing very difficulties and send a technician at my home .

    internet line has consistently disconnected please remedy
    please check your server, do you know how many time it goes fail?
    i am doing international trade so it cause me lots of money lose.
    please cancel my payment for this month, i am not agree to pay that, is not worthy.
    otherwise i won`t pay any more and i`ll change my internet .

  9. i have apply unifi since this year may and until now alredy 5 times the unifi ppl and telekom ppl come to install and everytimes they said the system there got show my area is under coverage but when they reach my place the dp box still haven’t install at there and they cant do anything installation. I do not know what tm doing and why they have to take for long time to install the dp box there since my place already got the service. i hope it really can make it faster.
