Digi Broadband on-line

No more pre-launch because Digi Broadband service has been formally set down.Digi Broadband(3G) initiates 3 plans-Discover,Explore and Extreme, for different groups of users.

DIGI broadband

DIGI broadband It’s cute and creative advertisement as Digi always does. However,I don’t think the content is so attractive because Digi sets Terms and Conditions here and there and that makes me feel uncomfortable.

DIGI broadband plans

The first thing annoying me is the usage volume.Well,if you just use broadband to play instant messengers, online games and surf Internet etc,it should be a matter.Nevertheless,it’s never enough for a heavy user who wants to download files continuously.

The second thing is about the monthly fee.The most expensive plan-Extreme,the rate is capped at RM188;but if using those two cheaper plans, you have to pay extra usage fee and capped at RM138 monthly. And I still doubt that after reaching the upper limit of value on usage, how will the broadband go?Automatically terminate the service until the end of the month or only drop into a lower speed?Sorry,I can’t find the answer yet.The good thing is it’s contract-free so that you could cancel the service at any time you want.Oh,don’t forget that you have to pay RM360/RM600 in total to buy a 3G modem too.

The third thing(that is a good new!) is I found that the coverage area expands quickly.

DIGI broadband current coverage Now it had covered the Klang Valley (Damansara, Petaling Jaya, Subang Jaya, Sunway and Bangsar) and a part of Kajang,Pulau Pinang and Butterworth. In addition, other key areas in the Klang Valley and to over 1,000 other areas will be covered by the end of the year.

Will you use Digi Broadband?I think Digi could do better.

AT RM138 you will be geting ~16GB. That's a lot compared to the competitors 3GB Maxis and 5GB Celcom.

I'm one of the early birds to sign up for DiGi broadband, and so far I am really satisfied with it, the speed is very fast and you don't have to wait to stream videos on youtube.

My plan was 50GB per month and if you exceed the bandwidth for that month, it will throttle down to 128 or 384kbps…still you can online without problem.

If you want to know the speed, you check check it out from my blog at http://idavespot.com/my-life/digi-broadband-a-mus

You're taking the pre-launch plan which can't find it now.The best plan currently is RM188 monthly called EXTREME plan which limits on 20G.No one mentions what will happen after 20G.I think compared to pre-launch,this is a step-down.

      However,the speed is amazing!
