P1 Wimax is building its territory smoothly.From the current coverage map,you could find Klang Valley area and Pulau Pinang are the prioritized places that it intends to develop.
I feel that 30-40% of tactical residential areas in Selangor and Kuala Lumpur are covered currently.However,the development in Pulau Pinang is just at a start point.
Well,only this small part of places are under coverage now.I heard that the process of expansion in Penang meets some problems as some people voices out with their negative opinions.I hope the issue could bypass in a very near future so that the plan to build Penang as another cyber city in Malaysia will only be fulfilled.
The above table is the current plans.I have to say that the cost for high speed access plans(2.4Mbps) are definitely high and uncompetitive,meanwhile,there are still some fair usage policy working on ‘Home Plan’.
Since Digi had entered the battle and HSBB is close to the door too.I hope that could push the ISPs to reduce their prices on broadband service and give us more choices.

had subscribe and using Wimax for 2 months. When i first try out the 15 days free trial period, the speed is reasonable and can't complaint anything cause the entry level home user package much cheaper than maxis broadband.
However, after the 3-4 week, my nightmare comes.
For the past 3 weeks i hardly could connect to the internet.
I had call more than 15-18 times to cry for support but so far non of the customer service and support engineer can really solve my problem.
I was given tons of excuses such as and pointing me to the wrong direction.
When i subscibe the package, then check my coverage and says everything it's fine. But now when i got problem, they tell me mayb your base station is not strong and change the other side pointing to another base station. So i told the customer service that, first my modem is on green light and nothing to do with based station, seocndsly if i follow his advise, means i have to set behind my kitchen to connect to the direction he mention. Well, that doesn't make sense for me to get WIMAX, right?
The is another csutomer service say call me back for support but never, when i call them up 2 days later, their excuses to me is that customer service is on leave lar, so no one free to follow your case.
Got another funny convrsation is, the custoerm serice say my acount is terminated, maybe that's why i cant connect to internet. i told the custoemr service i got all the payment confirmation that there is noithing worng with my payment but he say nothing much he can do.
For those who want to get WIMAX, hope you get more opinions from exisitng users b4 jump ship.
As for me, maybe i'm the lucky one but honestly, their support is HORRIBLE and signal consistency is not there. In the end, what i pay for is to get more frustration.
If P1 is not ready for WIMAX, pls solve all your technical issues and upgrade your customer service level before launching it. IT's a disgrace!!!

I agree.. their signal connection is very bad. N sometimes so slow, the bandwidth test to their site is only 26kb. Old town free WIFI is even faster.
In additon, when i login to download by Billing information, I get 2 other ppl's name in my bill with their personal address (one from Ipoh n the other from JB). P1 reason is typo error… tis is pure bullshit. It's a system generated bill, how can have typo error with 2 other ppl's name in my bill. If tis can happen, how can P1 assure someone else is not using my data threshold … P1 cannot answer. WTF WTF WTF
Perhaps we could only wait for the day of change.

I just hope it could cancel the policy on usage,otherwise that would never fit my demand.
Really feel shit with P1 wimax … really dissatisfied with the service, call them .. they told u need to clear ur cache each time u surf ur internet .. 1 wk before, told me u will get a good signal by setting the static IP & DNS but 1 wk later asked me to reset it to auto update by service provider … both setting still didn't help much on the super lagging network… Ask them to terminate my contract since I get the super lagging connection, they told me u need to pay the penalty for RM999 … damn it .. this really a trap … the 1st 15days I signed the service, the connection is superb … after a month… the connection getting lagger & lagger day by day …I plan to brought my case to the consumer court to terminate the contract without paying single cent… All can I say … "KICK the P1 WIMAX OUT OF PENANG "
I think it is because of the limitation of Wimax technology.As I know,each antenna could only provide up to 15Mbps in one area.
I think when you subscribed it,in your area there are only several users(perhaps you are the first).After days,more user came into the service and so at the peak time,all users of your area could only share that 15Mbps.That causes your laggy speed.
Maybe the figure is wrong,but the theory is right~
Serious i also get the same problem =.= the line getting slower day by day.But becoz of the dam 2 years contract i cant terminate it haiz.Tot found a line better than the streamyx.now the line more sark than the maxis broadband.
I feel that had been a kind of style of broadband services in Malaysia-the best at the beginning and slowly turning to the worst.
sad to say that the Malaysia companies only aim for profit and disregard the consumer's right.
the penalty of RM999 seemed to me quite dubious coz if they are really confident they will not impose this regulation on the customer.(as if they know one day we will regret for signing up the P1)
It seemed that they already calculated that when each antenna reach the limit of 15Mbps in one area and people will start complaining.
their strategy is to expand as fast as possible and consider the upgrade later if the limit is hit,….just my opinion.
I feel what you said had been approved by a lot of other P1 Wimax users.They may appreciate the service at the beginning serveral weeks and now start screaming because of the lausy performance.
Streamyx is not good,however,it's perhaps still the best broadband service in Malaysia.Who gonna change this history?
