Taxi fare’s up

The day before yesterday,Malaysian government announced that the bus and taxi fares are up for around 30%.Frankly speaking, the public transportation system is very inefficient-you have to wait for 30-60mins for a bus, sometimes you could never get it in several hours;the taxi driver will refuse to fetch passengers,or make a quotation with a high price without following meter tariff etc.

The new taxi fare is as follows:

The new flag-off fare for taxis will be RM3, up from RM2, while passengers will be charged 10 sen for every 115m, instead of 150m currently.

The government said it should help the taxi drivers and let them perform a better quality of service. However,I don’t think so.I had a bad experience right on the day.

In the past Thursday evening,I planned to take a bus to go out.But after waiting for an hour,I decided to take a taxi instead.I stopped 4 taxis and all of them told me the news that the government announced and so they wanted to charge extra RM3 after the metered charge. They kept saying that the new tariff would be effective from the current date.

I don’t think they misread the content because they knew the new policy clearly. They just wanted to cheat consumers to earn more money. They are completely lacking of professional ethic as a taxi driver.

The government thought is so babyish. The increased fare will definitely not improve taxi services. The taxi drivers now could start to eat abalone and the consumers have to eat humble pie.SUCH A GREAT DEAL!

P1 Wimax reveals a new plan

P1 Wimax started to introduce a new and cheaper plan-Wiggy 69 several days ago.

P1 Wiggy 69 The speed is capped at 800Kbps applicable to 5GB of fair usage threshold.I think this plan is only for the people who just use the broadband service to check emails and surf internet only because if playing streaming and downloading,it could reach the limitation on volume in one day.

Why are those wireless broadband service providers always set the price that high? It’s really not reasonable.

P1 Wimax,just good luck!

I heard the footsteps of Windows 7

The old rumor said that Windows 7 RTM(Release to Manufacturing) would come out on July 13th.Of course, this news had been dead because the date is past and we haven’t seen any Windows 7 RTM from any sources.

Recently from the Windows blog,Brandon LeBlanc told that the real RTM version of Windows 7 will be seen at the second half of this July and the final version(Release to public) will be on the shelf on October 22th,2009.

At the same time, the pre-order sales for Windows 7 in US,Europe and Japan hits a great record. That means a large number of people are looking forward to this new powerful product.

Frankly speaking,I’m willing to get it too as I like to scratch the fresh stuff and I want to escape from the troubles caused by Windows Vista asap.

Of course,I still need to wait here just like you guys.

A great man past away

Ji Xianlin

Ji Xianlin is the name for a man of signal virtues. He was a linguist who was good at English,French,German,Russian and also being the specialist at Sanskrit,Pali and Tokharian.

He past away silently with all kinds of honors all over the world which he deserved to have.

I do respect this old man because he always chases for the truth.

He declined to accept the title of "maestro of Chinese culture” many many times. He said he was only a researcher on Oriental Culture and Languages. However,we know he has broad knowledge on Chinese culture.

I read some articles from him in the recent years. The words are simple but meaningful.I have to say that some of his thoughts are still lightening my way.

Thank you & Goodbye!

I wish you could reach Elysium and accompany with Buddha.
