Rankings of the Global Financial Centers(September Release)

In the past one year, the whole world was shaking because of the financial recession. It can’t be denied that the recession hurts the developed countries(e.g. United States,United Kingdom) much more than the developing countries(e.g. China).Again,it may change the structure of the world. When the leaders of the developed countries were scratching heads to try their best getting a solution in order to put the economic back to the track,on the other hands, the leaders from another side had found something that could stabilize and even keep boosting the economic into a positive trend. If you had read the Global Financial Centers Index(GFCI) released in March,2009,I believe you won’t be surprised by the big changes on the rankings of the latest September GFCI as what I said just now.

GFCI(sep.09)According to the comparison of March Report and September Report, you could see that the huge progress on those Asian cities(Shanghai,Beijing,Taipei etc.) which were doing some innovations on their old-style economic system;on the contrast, some European/U.S. cities(Boston,Dublin,Glasgow etc.) were leaving the top list and going down to the second group with a bad setback.

I think that shows the direction of develpments of the cuurent world and tells us that no one can be the big boss forever.
