TP-Link TD-8816 ADSL2/2+ Ethernet Router

Today I grabbed another modem router for testing in my ADSL line.TP-Link is No.1 market share holder in China and has been a global player in the market. The product is quite cheap compared to D-Link or Linksys, however, the comments are quite positive.

TP-Link TD-8816 TP-Link TD-8816 is said to have TrendChip inside.Through the past testing period,I found the heat from this stuff is less than D-Link DSL2542B.However,it shows higher line attenuation and lower SNR margin compared to the D-Link modem.Perhaps it approves some hearsay that Broadcom chipset could get better result on a bad quality line whereas TrendChip chipset could sync faster and stable at a good quality line.

modem info Connecting with my D-Link modem thereafter under the same modulation,it could easily get the downstream line attenuation at 43.5db and SNR margin at 27-28db.I think you had seen the difference although that won’t be a lot and definitely the winner is D-Link DSL 2542B.

However,if you ask me which one I will choose,TP-Link will be my choice.Well,at least it allows me to manually connect/disconnect on the web-based control panel(ie. get a new IP address and minimizes the possibility of overheat issue.

Let me sum it up:TP-Link sells goods with a cheaper price, but the quality is not cheap at all.

Make money online with Google Adsense

I think most web admins and bloggers know Google Adsense very well.In fact,I feel that Google Adsense is the most attractive online ads programme in the world. Why do I say that?Because I get the highest return from Google Adsence up to date-from last December till now,I have around US$130 in my account within 10 months.

income from Google Adsence Well, you may say that wouldn’t be a big amount. However, the vaule is created from my blog which I put quite a lot of my time there and finally I see some return in dollar sign.So that means a lot for me.

I understand I’m only at the starting stage on the way to make money online compared with those famous probloggers such as John Chow, but I really get much knowledge when I built up this blog-learning how to set up and maintain a website, keeping updated with the world and sharing my minds with everyone, yet I own another piece of land where I’m able to express myself easily and naturally. How wonderful experience!

That’s why I always encourage my friends to start writing blogs as they could help us get more than what we pay.I realize that it is not only making money online, but also making life online.I will continue enjoying the nice life here. How about you?

Rankings of the Global Financial Centers

On behalf of City of London,Z/Yen Group works on the Global Financial Centers Index(GFCI) for 3 years. The index publishes every six months,is dynamic, tracking the changing perceptions of cities as financial centres on an ongoing basis.Meanwhile,if refers to a lot of existing rankings and does some surveys on senior industry figures. Thus, the index is quite objective and complete. Here’s the report for March 2009.

GFCI(Mar09) In the rankings, you can see that only two Asian cities-Hong Kong and Singapore are there and the developed countries are still controlling the world’s economy. However,I know that in September’s report, the rankings have been changed a lot.I believe that indicates the trend of developments in the world.Let’s check it out later.

LRT extensions(Update)

Finally I’m able to get some details from the official source.According to the proposal,Kelana Jaya LRT extension line will commence from Lembah Subang – Kelana Business Centre, through Subang, USJ, Alam Megah and ending at the hub in Putra Heights. The proposed line will consist of 13 new stations and approximately 17km of guideway;

Ampang LRT extension line will commence from the present Sri Petaling station, passing through Puchong, Kinrara and ending at the hub in Putra Heights. The proposed line will consist of 13 new stations and approximately 17.7km of guideway.

The stations will be equipped with all necessary facilities and be comfortable to the physical disables as well.

Both lines are expected to be commissioned by end of 2012.

Here’s the proposed map for the extensions:

As I know, the new stations will also be designed with modern elements.

However,I still think that more 4-car trains introduce to the existing lines should be a good arrangement because nowadays both lines are having around 4-hour overloading during the working days.

I also suggest Rapid KL to modify the current 2-car trains to be 4-car trains and make some decorations and upgrades on the trains in order to continue providing a better quality of service.

How will the project go?We’ll see.
