Google China stopped the censorship

Google’s spokesman said Google China stopped to censor the contents in the Internet and closed off the search engine in mainland China.Google.cn will directly redirect to Google.hk.That means from now on Chinese users could search anything existing in the Internet,including the truth of some affairs.

I can understand why the Chinese government wanted to have such a censorship,however,I never support it.I think even in a family,hiding something between members is not a good thing and it should be applying to the government too.People release some rights to the government to draw a consistent strategy to develop the country and to have a peaceful environment.I believe most people have their clear minds to judge what is right or wrong.Thus,they have the rights to know about the truth of anything.

Chinese government blocked the access to Facebook,Twitter,YouTube(the most popular websites in the world) a few years ago.I think it’s cutting the way to the whole world.I do know that if Chinese government continues to govern the country in this way,it’s losing their mind.It’s also losing people’s hearts.

Now what actions the government taking into Google will be a direction to show where China wants to go.I hope the government could take the steps to open mind as I really hope my motherland is walking on a right way growing.

Earth Hour 2010

Earth Hour 2010 will be held at 20:30 on March 27-this coming Saturday.This is a great action for people who love and want to protect the earth.It only asks for people to shut down your lights at home or other unnecessary electrical items for one hour to show our efforts to save resources in our land.If you have that warm heart,please just take some time to fill up the form below in order to vote for the event.

You could have a candle night with friends or go for shopping for some while during the time.What we need to do is to try our best to utilize less energy as we can.It’s the way to create a better future for our next generations.

I will go to shopping mall or some coffee shop to spend my hours there.How about you?

Another submarine cable launched

Google always makes some crazy investments and years ago,it went into a project called UNITY of constructing a submarine cable connecting US and Asia with multi-terabits capacity.Google started the work with other 5 regional telecoms:Bharti Airtel, Global Transit, KDDI, Pacnet, and SingTel.By the way,Global Transit is a subsidiary company under Khazanah Nasional Bhd(Malaysian National investment company).Thus,I believe the new bandwidth will also be apportioned to TM,the major telecom in Malaysia which has the widest coverage of broadband services.I guess the new international bandwidth may contribute to the latest HSBB service that will be launched in 3 days.

By this investment,Google awards 20% of the total bandwidth of the cable.It has a big win in this project as the new cable smoothens the connections of loading all contents,such as YouTube,Google search,Google Maps and so on,amongst Asian countries.

Now Facebook is so popular all over the world.I wonder when Facebook could invest in such a project too because currently loading some games and uploading some pictures during the peak hours in Facebook is really a nightmare.I’m waiting.

Another 7 days to go

It’s about HSBB again.TM has put a big count-down banner at its official website.It seems to say that the evolution is just at the corner.Well,I hope it will be true.

TM looks like setting up a live page to show that great time.

However,I’m hardly doubting whether HSBB will be really dramatic as we all assumed.I face some slow-down issues of my current Streamyx service.I sent the complaint to the customer service department and they gave me a reply saying that the issue I have to face is because of the highly congested network in my area.I was also informed that they could not promise when it could be solved.

Oops,they even can’t manage the existing ADSL systems,how could they have the strong ability to deal with higher speed fibre optics system?I have no idea. 

3 shares and 7 million US dollar

Grace Groner Ms. Groner was an American old lady and she just past away when she was 100 years old.She left 7 million US dollar behind her life and all funds was contributed to Lake Forest College for scholarship there.

7 million US dollar is not a small amount.I believe many of you may think that Ms. Groner should work at management level or she may have a rich family.Well,she wasn’t.She worked as a secretary in a pharmaceutical company for 43 years and the money came from the 3 shares she bought in 1935 of that company.

During the years,the shares have some dividends.She always took the dividends reinvesting into the same stock;The shares have been split many times,but she didn’t sell any single share in her life.

What she did created the wealth she had.Financial advisors normally suggest people that not putting all funds to only one investment because it may create a very high risk we may face.However,in this case,Ms. Groner definitely did what financial advisors won’t and she was successful.

Thus,I make my own conclusion:Winner may not be the expert of some field,sometimes,a kind of consistency,a good habit,a strong belief or some more luck is very necessary.
