Simple floor plans

The apartment I bought months ago will be transacted to my hand in any second. So I think I’d better to learn how to plan to do some simple renovations of that unit.A floor plan may be helpful to let me see the effects of arrangements directly and easily do some adjustments later. Here we go.

Well,I believe the real thing will not be so simple at all. :)

3G coverage of DiGi

When I was in Malacca,I brought my laptop with me.So I could check emails and update Facebook on time. However, the hotel I stayed is without free usage of WIFI.I had to use my Google Nexus One as a modem connecting to my laptop to surf internet through DiGi’s network.

DiGi has a wide coverage of EDGE,the 2.75G network which is able to provide the downlink speed up to 144Kbps in my experience. However,it could not be suitable to load most websites fast because nowadays those fancy pages always embed with flash and pictures where the size is easily over 1MBytes,meaning that I have to wait at least 10 seconds for each page.I can’t imagine how I could watch a YouTube video or play some Facebook games by using such a wireless service.

I hope when I visit Malacca next time,I could enjoy 3G connection there.Do you hear me,DiGi?

Malacca Trip

I joined the company trip of my wife to Malacca for the past weekend. That’s the first time to be there and I found that Malacca is really a city where all have ancient feelings.

My wife and I like to visit Jonker Walk(Jalan Hang Jebat, see the map below). In fact,we went there 3 times in 2 days.I would say that the view there day and night is totally different. At the daytime, the street is quiet, but there are still some souvenir shops and restaurants opening, including the very famous ‘chicken rice ball’;at night, all street stalls start the business along the street and the linked area.Locals and foreigners can always get their fun somewhere.

We also took Cendol in a local Nyonya restaurant.I have to say that was the most delicious cendol I’ve tried. It just took away the heat of my body in a sunny day.

Cendol Now I’m planning to visit Malacca again to enjoy the nice moments.

QR code

What is QR code?

According to Wikipedia,a matrix code (or two-dimensional bar code) created by Japanese corporation Denso-Wave in 1994. The "QR" is derived from "Quick Response", as the creator intended the code to allow its contents to be decoded at high speed.

QR Codes are common in Japan, where they are currently the most popular type of two dimensional codes. Moreover, most current Japanese mobile phones can read this code with their camera.

I find that is a very interesting tool.In fact,if all products have QR code,we could use our smartphone with QR scanner to get enough information with just one click or something.

You could find a lot of QR code generator online,so you’re able to create a QR code to match any stuff you have, including your blog.

This is the QR code for my blog:

If you have Google Goggles or Barcode scanner in your mobile phone, just try to snap the QR code and see what you get.Is that great? :)

conquered dengue

A little mosquito forced me staying in hospital for almost one week.Yes,I was so unfortunate that got dengue fever last week.Fever, digestive issues, bone pains and more symptoms were all there together.I even needed to have sleeping pills to help me get into dreams.I had to say the experience was so awful. Now I’m thinking that in some terms a mosquito seems to be much stronger than I am.

I feel grateful to my dearest that she always tried her best to comfort me during that worst time.I can’t imagine if I’d faced it alone.I also want to thank other friends and families of their supports.

I will have a further consultation with the doctor tomorrow by checking up the blood platelet level.Frankly speaking,I’m still feeling quite tired and so I hope the blood test report will show a good result.

And currently I’m really scaring of getting dengue again.Scientists, please discover some sort of medicine/bacterin for it as soon as possible.

Dengue is H-O-R-R-I-B-L-E!!!
