Umobile pushes a crazy prepaid plan

Today,Umobile releases an incredible prepaid plan to attract, most probably, smartphone users. The brand-new plan will cost you RM28 monthly, including 500MB unlimited mobile broadband(no extra charge after 500MB usage, but throttled at 64Kbps only),100 minutes talking time to any local network and 30 sms to any local network too.

Ya,one more thing I need to mention is this prepaid plan is allowed to carry forward the unused balance to next month,of course,up to 100 mins and 30 SMS only.

I could say this plan is most valuable data+voice plan in Malaysia up to date. However,I don’t know if the coverage of Umobile is good.Anybody tries it on your phone?I hope to listen to some experience on this mobile service provider.

In Klang Valley, coverage is quite good. Ipoh and Johor Bharu too. Outside these area, you will get 2G only coverage. I got the broadband package for home use and the new RM28 unlimited mobile internet for my tablet.

From website, it looks like can port. http://u.com.my/faq/mnp. My house can get 1 Mbps, normally I used up my quota in 10 days. Then have to use my wife Digi line but trouble-some as got to take out from her iphone. Last few months, Digi is very slow in my house, used to be 1 Mbps.

Else where, u mobile speed also very good. I guess still not congested.

I want to register a prepaid SIM online and deliver to my front door. However,it failed to pick up a number during registration.Weird!

I do want to try the service because I think the latest RM28 plan is very suitable for my needs.

Used to be fast but now the connection speed is terribly slow of late and a switch to another operator seems to be an inevitable solution.
