Hours ago,WordPress 2.9 was officially released.It isn’t a major upgrade,however,some cool functions are still giving us a reason to make an upgrade.The whole upgrade procedures are very easy.You can upgrade easily from your Dashboard by going to Tools > Upgrade, or you can download from WordPress.org.

The cool points of the new version for the users are:

1. Global undo/”trash” feature, which means that if you accidentally delete a post or comment you can bring it back from the grave (i.e., the Trash). This also eliminates those annoying “are you sure” messages we used to have on every delete.
2. Built-in image editor allows you to crop, edit, rotate, flip, and scale your images to show them who’s boss. This is the first wave of our many planned media-handling improvements.
3. Batch plugin update and compatibility checking, which means you can update 10 plugins at once, versus having to do multiple clicks for each one, and we’re using the new compatibility data from the plugins directory to give you a better idea of whether your plugins are compatible with new releases of WordPress. This should take the fear and hassle out of upgrading.
4. Easier video embeds that allow you to just paste a URL on its own line and have it magically turn it into the proper embed code, with Oembed support for YouTube, Daily Motion, Blip.tv, Flickr, Hulu, Viddler, Qik, Revision3, Scribd, Google Video, Photobucket, PollDaddy, and WordPress.tv (and more in the next release).

The new WordPress also ensures the smoothest experience as it’s out of thousands of bugs which exist in the previous versions and many improvements have been done here.So I think you’d better to make the upgrade as soon as possible.The benefit is GREAT!

Well,this is a security release of WordPress again.However,I hope the users could upgrade it as soon as possible.My blog was hacked twice because I had only 2-day late to upgrade it.

The first problem in the last WordPress is an XSS vulnerability in Press This discovered by Benjamin Flesch.  The second problem, discovered by Dawid Golunski, is an issue with sanitizing uploaded file names that can be exploited in certain Apache configurations.

I upgraded my WordPress very early because I don’t want to suffer any kind of hacking actions and I bet you agree with me.To upgrade WordPress is never be a hassle,in fact,nowadays single click complete all upgrades automatically.So I think you’d better to upgrade WordPress asap if you’re running your blog in that platform.

This new release of WordPress is for killing some known issues.The details are as below:

• A fix for the Trackback Denial-of-Service attack that is currently being seen.
• Removal of areas within the code where php code in variables was evaluated.
• Switched the file upload functionality to be whitelisted for all users including Admins.
• Retiring of the two importers of Tag data from old plugins.

I know the brand new WordPress 2.9 has been developing and of course,new features will come out with the new series.I just wonder how it would impress me.

One hour ago,my blog was hacked and left some messages there.

I did nothing wrong in these days,but some people look like quite interesting to hack my blog in order to interrupt my common blogging life.Unfortunately,that has been the second time within half of this year and it’s so hard to prevent it.

Now I only hope my blog won’t be stayed on the hackers’ eyes at any time.Pity me!

I think most web admins and bloggers know Google Adsense very well.In fact,I feel that Google Adsense is the most attractive online ads programme in the world.Why do I say that?Because I get the highest return from Google Adsence up to date-from last December till now,I have around US$130 in my account within 10 months.

Well,you may say that wouldn’t be a big amount.However,the vaule is created from my blog which I put quite a lot of my time there and finally I see some return in dollar sign.So that means a lot for me.

I understand I’m only at the starting stage on the way to make money online compared with those famous probloggers such as John Chow,but I really get much knowledge when I built up this blog-learning how to set up and maintain a website,keeping updated with the world and sharing my minds with everyone,yet I own another piece of land where I’m able to express myself easily and naturally.How wonderful experience!
