Surplus sharing from Etiqa Takaful Motor Insurance

Owning a car,you have to pay for petrol, maintenance, road tax and insurance, any of them could make a burden. Etiqa Takaful Motor Insurance does have a “Takaful and Surplus Distribution” clause which could ease a bit of stress.

I just received my cheque amounting at RM 100.8 from Etiqa. It’s the surplus sharing for the last year’s participation. I remembered that I paid RM1200+- for the total coverage and so I consider it as a 8.4% rebate. Continue reading Surplus sharing from Etiqa Takaful Motor Insurance

TIME launched the fastest Home Fibre Plan in Malaysia

TIME quietly refreshed their home fibre internet plans recently. No more slow broadband from TIME- from 100Mbps up to 500Mbps is available within TIME Fibre network coverage map, pricing from RM 149 monthly.

No doubt that it’s the best plan in Malaysia up to date. Compared to TM Unifi, you have to pay RM229 for 50Mbps download speed(20Mbps upload) and this is the fastest plan from TM now. For Maxis 100Mbps plan, you have to pay RM 398 monthly which is 2.6 times more expensive than TIME.

However,TIME still only covers limited area and most of them are high rise buildings/high density area.If you are so lucky to stay within the coverage, I think TIME is the best option for the blazing fast internet experience. You can check the coverage over here.

I just hope TIME can cover my apartment, the sooner the better.

Sekinchan Trip

I will have a short trip to Sekinchan in the coming weekend. So today I spent some time to do research work for the information about attractions and local restaurants there.

As it’s first time to go there, I think it’ll be great if I can have a customised map for the trip. Well, finally I did it. In case anyone wanna use it, I just share the customised map(*this map is in Chinese) here. If you’re an Android phone user, download the app from Google called “My Maps” to enable the customised map loading on your phone and linking to Google Maps which allows to navigate you to reach the destination.

I will update this post after I come back from the trip. Happy weekend ahead!

MeterOn – Official app from SPAD

Taxi service in Malaysia is so hard to get good comments from locals as well as foreign tourists. The most complaints are about not following meter and bad attitude.

Recently, the taxi fare raised again. That brought out a lot of noises from those taxi passengers. Why could they increase their fares while providing such a lousy service?

Malaysia’s Land Public Transport Commission (SPAD) noticed the problems and decided to use the power of technology to supervise the taxi industry,to make sure that taxi service could get improvements after revising the fares. MeterOn App goes for that purpose.
