Samsung:We could do better than Apple does

Samsung recently releases a TV commercial for the latest pioneer product:Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1-a powerful touch screen device with NVIDIA TEGRA 2 dual-core 1GHz processor,2MP front camera,3MP autofocus back camera with LED flash and multiple sensors with sharp 10.1 inch WXGA TFT LCD display.

It’s working with Android 3.1-the upgraded version of Gingerbread which provides more features and customize functions compared to the former 3.0 version and has been tuned to work better than ever.In this commercial,Samsung seems to make lots of comparisons with Apple iPad 2,such as support of Adobe Flash.Let’s watch it!

Do you think Apple will shoot it back to Samsung or perhaps Android?I think the answer will be quite affirmative.Time will prove it. :P

Quick look at Google I/O 2011

I watched Google I/O live last night. In the event, quite a number of surprises brought in and of course,Android is the main role.

1.New music service.

Google now has the music service even though it’s just beta version currently and only available to US customers. It’s allowing users to upload up to 20,000 songs to the cloud, all will be automatically sync to Android devices that under the same Google account.

2.Movie rental service

Just a few clicks and you could start to enjoy hot films on the go.You could choose to live steaming the film or offline to watch it.Good, huh? If not mistaken,it’s also only for US customers currently. :P

3.Android 3.1 Honeycomb upgrade

The upgrade includes multiple changes and improvements such as resizeable widgets,USB host and accessory support etc.Verizon’s Motorola Xoom users will get the update immediately.

4.Android Open Accessory

USB accessory mode is added in Android 3.1 for tablets and Android 2.3.4 for mobiles. In this mode,Android device will act as a host to control other devices connecting by USB port.

5.Ice Cream Sandwich

This version of Android will be released in Q4 2011.It will be a cross-platform OS that applies both tablets and smartphones. This will ease the developers to create apps as for Ice Cream Sandwich, they only need to make apps compatible to one OS.I believe more apps at that time will land to Android Market.

6.Android@Home framework

Imaging that you can control all your home appliances by your Android phone?!Yes,Android@Home framework is working for that.Once you have all appliances with this framework, you could simply remote control them, for example, open lights and air-conditioner when you nearly reach home.Awesome!

You could take some time to watch what happened in Google I/O 2011 Day 1. Have a good day!   :)

Google Chrome on TV

Google now starts to promote the browser Google Chrome on TV.The latest video clip is saying how convenient the extensions on Google Chrome work.

I have to admit that I am a Google fan:I’m using Gmail to send and receive emails;I’m using Nexus One which is a Google phone with Android system;I’m searching stuff by Google search engine;Even now I’m open Google Chrome to write this blog post.Google is everywhere in my life and that’s what Google’s doing-try to touch into everybody’s daily life and it is the exact way that Google generates income.

Well,Google is not satisfied with what it’d done and wish to go further to attract more attentions from potential users.TV advertisement is really a good way to go.

Do you like this video?I like it very much as it’s showing how technologies could help us build up a warm memory.Guys behind Google are too smart. :)

Nexus One received Android 2.3.4

Just after several days of getting the news about Android 2.3.4,Nexus One has received it in some ways, right after Nexus S which is first to get this update.

In Nexus One,there’s no front camera so that no video calling function in this version. However,it consists of of some bug fixes:

It will be rolling out OTA by stages. However,if you’re not so cool on waiting it,you could directly download and install it manually. It should be quite simple if you’ve done it before.

I’m using CM7 in my Nexus One and I believe it will release a newer version based on Android 2.3.4 soon.Stay tuned! :)
