WordPress 3.2 Beta 1

2 days ago,WordPress released 3.2 beta 1.It initially releases to beta users who are willing to bear the risks of bugs and could have some knowledge to point out the existing issues in the beta.

WordPress indicated there are quite a number of improvements in the new version:

  • Performance improvements like you wouldn’t believe. What’s that mean? Things are faster!
  • Distraction-free Writing. The visual editor’s full-screen composing experience has gotten a major overhaul, and is now available from HTML mode, too. More than ever, WordPress allows you to focus on what matters most — your content.
  • Admin UI Refresh. The last major redesign of the WordPress admin was in 2008. This isn’t a major redesign, just a little facelift to keep us feeling young. WordPress turns 8 later this month, you know.
  • New Default Theme. Introducing Twenty Eleven, based on the popular Duster theme. Rotating header images, post format support, and more.
  • Browse Happy. WordPress is made to work with modern browsers. If you visit your Dashboard using an outdated web browser, we’ll let you know there’s a newer version available.
  • Admin Bar. We’ve added more links to the admin bar to make it even more useful.

As it’s the beta version,we can’t expect that it could run smoothly.In fact,some issues have been figured out:

  • We haven’t updated the blue admin color scheme yet, so do your testing in the gray zone for best results.

A rough test of Windows 7 beta 1

Yesterday I said I got some sources to download the leaked Windows 7 beta 1.I’d downloaded it successfully today and so could try it immediately.

As it’s a ISO file,I had to burn it into a DVD and then started my installation.

loading files from DVD.The procedures of installation are quite similar with the earlier versions of Windows(XP,Vista etc).

Install now. prerelease software license terms

All options are user-friendly so that the installation may be even done by some newbie.

Windows 7 beta ISO leaked out

The official source spoke out several days ago that Windows 7 beta would be open to public in coming January,2009.But since yesterday,some downloading method could have been leaked out.Today,I’ve found some screenshots posted by some bloggers.DOWNLOADSQUAD reported the case on Dec. 27,2008.

 Windows 7 beta 1 From the comments left on the net,most of them are positive.So I think I should test it by my own to know about the props and cons of it.I’d tried to download it by BT,but it moved very slowly due to some unknown reason.Tomorrow I’ll try it again and if successfully,I will install it and post up my senses at once to share with your guys.Stay tuned! :)
