WordPress 3.8 “Parker” is designed to be modernize in every aspect from dashboard structure, font type to superior contrast.
The dashboard is well organised so that we could easily find the stuff we need. And thanks to Open Sans, the open source font type, texts now could be showing much nicer in both desktop and mobile devices. Adding with the refined contrast, the new WordPress just brings us more reading pressure and simplicity.
WordPress is now for every device.By ditching the pixels, page loads significantly faster too. So editing posts in mobile devices or tablets will be the same as what you make it on your desktop.

After months of testing,WordPress 3.4 is finally working officially. It has a code name “Green” in honor of guitarist Grant Green.
In this updated version, the biggest change for users is Theme Customizer which allows you edit your theme with live preview. You can change color, background, custom image of header etc. in the customizer.
Another change is Tweets could be embed in posts now.Just insert a permanent link of your tweet in a post and it would be embedded beautifully.
Lastly, image captions have been improved to allow HTML,like links,in them.
The upgrade process is simple as usual.Get into your update settings, backup your data and click ‘Update now’.Then it will be completed within 5 mins normally.Of course, manual installation will be an option too.You could download WordPress 3.4 here.
Why do I make an annoucement here?Well,no other reason except I support it-the book and the author.
The series of Dummies are very popular because they have a very broad range on differents fields which are related with our daily life, work and entertainment as well. And WordPress is one of most popular blogging tools(platforms) and has more than 170,000 registered bloggers. As it is open source platform,so it allows any people to edit the codings in order to fit their needs.This pre-releasing Dummies intorduces all basic stuffs about blogging, further DIY on codings and teaching how to generate incomes from blogging too.
The author,Lisa Sabin-Wilson,who is my current theme’s author, has rich knowledge about all because she had joined in a lot of different blogging tools’ design work and meanwhile she designed many themes too, including the latest xMark v2.0 which I’m using.
Thus,if you wanna improve your skills or knowledge on WordPress, you’d better to put some small money so as to get a big ruturn.WordPress For Dummies will be available on next Monday(29 Oct.).You can buy it online at Amazon.com and Wiley.com(paperback/Ebook) at that time.I wish this information is good enough for you all.

If you have sharp eyes, you will find that I add a new item in my sidebar. It is a widget provided by BlogRush and can syndicate a blog network.
Depending on the words saying at its website,it’s as follow:
BlogRush is a “Cooperative Syndication Network.” It’s a network of blogs that run a small “widget” on their pages. Each time this widget is loaded it will contain 5 clickable headlines which are the blog post titles to other users’ posts. Clicking on any of these links will open a new browser window and load the blog and full post. Users earn “syndication credits” based on each time their blog loads the widget as well as each time any of their referrals (users that signup after clicking the “add your blog posts” link on the widget) loads the widget. They also earn additional credit based on all the activity through 10 generations of referrals. 1 Syndication Credit = having one of their recent blog post titles served inside the widget on another member’s blog.
