No Internet Censorship in Malaysia

1st Malaysian-ASEAN Regional Bloggers Conference held in Kuala Lumpur,Malaysia earlier today.Given a speech in the conference,Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak stressed again that current government of Malaysia will not intend to censor the Internet.

The points are:

  • Malaysian government is willing to build an open and digital democracy of society and it’s on the way to go.
  • Malaysian government is keeping to develop Multimedia Super Corridor which was initiated by former Prime Minister Tun Dr. Mahathir.
  • Malaysian government is hoping to treat the bloggers as partners to move forward together,not as enemies.
  • Malaysian government is looking forward to seeing that bloggers could treat government fairly to make comments online.
  • Malaysian government is helping doing further investments on high speed broadband services to eliminate the digital gap.

Could the promise be trusted?Well,as it is a public speech that most people now hear it,I don’t think the government could change their principle so easily.Do wish to see a much open Malaysia soon!


Free but not bad

Pingdom did a survey and research on stability of blogging services all over the world from Nov. 10,2008 to Mar. 10,2009.The uptime of each service is the standard measurement of the test and the final report was published some days ago.

Uptime for blogging services

We could see that Typepad works very well and wins the first prize,followed by Blogger and WordPress.com.However,Typepad is a paid service and meanwhile Blogger and WordPress.com are providing free services.I appreciate to see such a great result which indicates that both Blogger and WordPress.com never dump into a lousy ground because of free.Instead they are chasing the standard to be professional in the field and well,they really do it and get it.

Eh,Windows Live Spaces is not good example.Even though it’s in the fourth position,its downtime is around 4 hours more than Top three’s.Shame!

Now you know which one should you choose to start your blog,don’t you?

Make Money on Blog is not a dream

I saw the article stapled on Hongkiat.com namely “Local Successful Bloggers on Papers“.I have 100% granted that there has become a great market for ads on blogs.

We can realize that perhaps 2 or 3 years ago,there is rarely some people to make business on blogads.Only few people can answer you what is the blogads.That time is a sunrise of blogads.But now everything is different.As I touch blog a bit earlier,I find a lot of my blog friends have their plans to be a blogger who can earn money online.It’s just a trend of it.I am looking forward to that way as well.

Why blog?

Since I wrote my first blog till now,it’s more than 3 years.I think I am the earlier batch of people who touch into this new area.At that time,all people are treated it as a new stuff and interesting in it.I don’t think that they can image that some of them have been quite rich because of his/her blog.
