Made a complaint to TM Net customer service(3)

I came back home at 9:30pm tonight.After taking bath and doing some trivialities,I sat in front of my laptop.As you know,the only thing I may concern in these days is whether my broadband turns into normal.Unfortunately,at that time it still showed a bad connection of frequent disconnected and unstable speed.Miraculously the broadband seems to get right at 11pm onwards.

linksys modem screenshot The speed is back.Downstream Margin is figuring at a nice level(19db) which previously it always frustrated from 10db to 20db.After all,the rate is running on the right way.So if all could stay every day,I don’t think I will have disconnection issues anymore.However,I just surprise that the technician worked until so late for me?!

No staff called me till now.I think they should contact me in tomorrow morning regarding the maintenance if the improvement of my broadband was really done by the technician.If yes,I will feel very appreciated as TM Net always delayed on their work in the past years and the representation of the responding system was quite bad,even its customer service.I will update it here when the thing’s going on. 

Made a complaint to TM Net customer service(2)

Today is the second day after I made the complaint.I think they may start some other work for me currently since I saw the unusual stats from my modem DSL info.

linksys modem screenshot The Downstream Margin is damn low and Downstream Line Attenuation is going to a new height.Mainly,it is set on a wrong rate.That may be a spare method for the customer when the line is under repairing.

All right,I only wish that could be done before I come back home tonight.

Made a complaint to TM Net customer service(1)

In recent several weeks,I always met frequent disconnections and there seems to have no improvements at all.So I decided to make a complaint to TM Net customer service yesterday.I called them in the afternoon.Luckily I just waited for minutes until they picked up my call.After troubleshooting procedures,the staff helped me lodge a report and told me that normally the technician will do their work in the coming 2 working days.

Today,starting from 3 pm,my connection was extremely bad and sometimes even can’t get any signal(DSL light was blinking).I guessed the technician was checking my line.So I just left it alone.At 8pm,I received a call from technical department asking me whether my connection was improved.I replied a big ‘NO’ because I can’t get any connection at all.After all official wordings,the staff promised me that she would follow up the case and arrange a technician to check the wiring as soon as possible.

At 9 pm,I could get connection finally.So I entered the modem control panel there and want to figure out whether the working line was under good quality.

linksys modem screenshotI’m now using Streamyx 2M combo and it was quite sensitive on the quality of DSL connection. You can see that Downstream Margin(SNR) is so low.I think that’s the reason why my line always disconnected.I know many factors could affect it,such as long distances between the house and DSLAM,bad quality of copper telephone line,faulty on DSLAM port and et cetera.My place is 2.75KM away from the neatest DSLAM,thus Downstream Line Attenuation is 45db which might be quite high.To set up a new DSLAM near my area is the best solution.However,I don’t think they will do it just for a single customer.

Therefore,I still need to wait them find out some other effective solutions to rescue me out of this marsh.
