Two stuff are in my list of focusing now.

• When will Maxis be relisted in Bursa Malaysia?I’m interested in making some investments there and willing to gain some gold from it.
• When will I get Streamyx upgrade to 4Mbps?I don’t think I should be so hard to get that upgrade.However,the fact is it costs a lot of my time till now and nothing happened.
• When will the people in Padang,Indonesia get recovery both physically and mentally?

I just wish every could be fine.

20 minutes ago,I just sat in front of the computer desk and suddenly I felt the whole body was shaking.I could confirm that was an earthquake and depend on my past experience,it was quite horrible.

Now I had some official source claiming about this earthquake.It happened at SOUTHERN SUMATRA, INDONESIA.It was only 475 km (295 miles) SSW of KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia.I think a few of people in Kuala Lumpur had got the feel of it.Here’s the detail from USGS(U.S Geography Survey):

It’s Magnitude 7.9 that must have led to a huge destroy.Pray for the people there!

Update(1)-September 30th,2009:It’s reviewed to Magnitude 7.6 and there’s another Magnitude 5.5 earthquake which happened 20 minutes later than the first one.Unfortunately,the unconfirmed news said that more than 100 people was dead because of the earthquake.

Update(2)-October 1st,2009:The local officer in Southern Sumatra reported that thousands of houses were pulled down whilst a huge number of people was buried alive.Currently they only found around 100 dead bodies,however,the number will be confirmed to increase soon as the rescue team is working on it.

Besides,another earthquake measuring 7 on the Richter scale happened in Jambi province of Indonesia in this early morning.Up to now,there’s no injured report yet.

Because of the typhoon and the earthquake in Taiwan area recently,many undersea cables in that place were damaged.Those cables are the main pathways connecting North Asia,South East Asia,Europe and USA.

I’ve heard that Chinese users couldn’t login in MSN since yesterday.In Malaysia,we have to enjoy much slower international connections,especially to China and USA.

Telekom Malaysia released a piece of announcement several days ago explaining the current situation regarding to the disruptions on international link:

Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM) wishes to announce that its consortium members have detected that a 2nd cable fault on Segment 7 of the Asia Pacific Cable Network 2 (APCN2) undersea cable network between China and Taiwan on Friday, 14 August 2009.

The fault follows three other service disruptions that recently hit the same cable network, affecting APCN2 Segment 7, between Hong Kong and Taiwan, and APCN2 Segment 1, which connects Singapore and Malaysia. The earlier faults on APCN2 Segment 1 were restored on Sunday, 16 August 2009.

As a result, customers using Internet services may continue to experience slow browsing while accessing websites hosted in the US and Northern Asia. In addition, customers using other IP services such as Virtual Private Network (VPN) over Internet and other critical business applications linked to the US and Northern Asia may experience some service degradation. To alleviate the problem, some of the links have been directed to alternate routes to ease the congestion.

Restoration works on the affected cables are already in progress. Full recovery of Internet services is expected to be on 10 September 2009. TM will make further announcements on the progress of the restoration works.

All right,we have to wait for at least some weeks to get improvements.I just wish that there won’t have any other disasters in the future.The Taiwanese have suffered too much!

I posted the 50 most powerful people in the world several days ago and many visitors had read it and some of them had left their comments and additional remarks.However,the list will never be the best because we always have our own lists in our heart.For me,I want to light one person up-Wen Jiabao(Premier,China).

We know China has been going on the year with disasters,crisis and challenges-snowstorm at the beginning of the year,Sichuan earthquake in the middle of the year,Beijing Olympics and now the financial bailouts.Wen,leading the country’s cabinet,is doing his best effort to deal with all those matters.

Frankly speaking,from my observation,the economy in China suffers deeply because this financial turmoil and this situation is much worse than people’s estimations.Wen has to take the responsibility to stabilize the country’s economy first in order to help people go over the hard time,besides,he,as a Premier of a conscientious country,must correspond and communicate with other leaders to work out effective solutions and at the same time achieving a political balance in his sagacity.

That’s the reason why he is entitled in my ‘powerful people’ list.So who would be the one you think supposes to be in the global elite?Welcome to state your reasons in the comments.

The Sichuan earthquake had past for 12 days.Even now the numbers of death are still increasing,probably being 80,000 later.However I think it’s time for going out from sadness  and sorrow to all people.

Persons who go through these tough days will be stronger since they had experienced the worst things in the world.Tomorrow will always be better than today for them.
