Another submarine cable launched

Google always makes some crazy investments and years ago,it went into a project called UNITY of constructing a submarine cable connecting US and Asia with multi-terabits capacity.Google started the work with other 5 regional telecoms:Bharti Airtel, Global Transit, KDDI, Pacnet, and SingTel.By the way,Global Transit is a subsidiary company under Khazanah Nasional Bhd(Malaysian National investment company).Thus,I believe the new bandwidth will also be apportioned to TM,the major telecom in Malaysia which has the widest coverage of broadband services.I guess the new international bandwidth may contribute to the latest HSBB service that will be launched in 3 days.

By this investment,Google awards 20% of the total bandwidth of the cable.It has a big win in this project as the new cable smoothens the connections of loading all contents,such as YouTube,Google search,Google Maps and so on,amongst Asian countries.

Now Facebook is so popular all over the world.I wonder when Facebook could invest in such a project too because currently loading some games and uploading some pictures during the peak hours in Facebook is really a nightmare.I’m waiting.

More and more social networking websites(SNS) are coming to our eyes-Facebook,Myspace,Friendster and so on.I can’t deny these websites are the powerful tools linking all friends together and sharing the fun.Besides,as we always update our daily tracks there,our friends are now much closer to us.However,something we might take into our concern are that we are exposing ourselves to almost everyone.

Actually in those websites,the privacy settings are always there.But I believe only a few people really care about it and adjust it to a proper one.It apparently leaves us to a dangerous situation because any people is able to achieve the personal information without any obstacle.Friends could get us as well as our enemies. :P

Facebook I could say that Facebook now is a part of my life.That’s so great!

I add my friends there.Each of us will update the latest stuff and so even though we may have a long distance,we could know each other connecting in the same channel,never breaking the ranks!

I pick my favourite services and companies there.Every time I have issues on some product or service,I could easily tell my things on the board and most of time I will get a quick response from the official platform.It’s saving my time!

So now I absolutely know why so many people like Facebook.

Facebook turns to be another Twitter?

Facebook had shown its new home page.That’s no surprise that it looks just like another Twitter,perhaps more complicated than Twitter.

new home page of facebook The core change is about “live stream”.It works on every word from your friends and let them display up to date.In addition,it also provides the filters in the left that you could get the only updates which you want easily.

I think Twitter should feel the real stress because Facebook has a very large group of users and it moves antennas everywhere.I’m so curious that what Twitter will do next.Let’s wait and see! :)
