Owning a car,you have to pay for petrol, maintenance, road tax and insurance, any of them could make a burden. Etiqa Takaful Motor Insurance does have a “Takaful and Surplus Distribution” clause which could ease a bit of stress.

I just received my cheque amounting at RM 100.8 from Etiqa. It’s the surplus sharing for the last year’s participation. I remembered that I paid RM1200+- for the total coverage and so I consider it as a 8.4% rebate. Continue reading Surplus sharing from Etiqa Takaful Motor Insurance

Yesterday,DiGi quietly showed the information on the website to claim that they will start to sell LG Nexus 4 from 7 January 2013.

LG Nexus 4

Till now, there’s no further information to be disclosed on the website, including the price. However, some rumor said that the RRP should be around RM1799.

The question is whether DiGi will put this phone available for RM200 rebate under Youth Cmmunication package. If yes,I’m sure it will attract quite a number young guys to buy it as RM1599 will be very impressive price compared to most mobile phones in the market although the retail price after rebate is still RM300(US100) more than buying from Google Play Store.Do you agree?

Update:Today,DiGi starts the pre-order of Nexus 4 online and in some selected DiGi Stores. The RRP is set at RM1649 and with DiGi Smart Plan 88,the device price is dropped to RM1499.

MCMC said that the government intends to help the youths in low income group,so they set RM500 limit for the smartphone. However, since there are a lot of noises about this, the latest news is the government may be reviewed the limit in the next cabinet meeting. From my opinion,I think the government could raise up the limit up to at least RM1000 to let the youths have a chance to get a mid-range smartphone instead of entry level one.

MCMC also said the service providers may update the list of smartphones from time to time to give more choices to eligible buyers.

Update:The cabinet finally heard the voice from the mass public and decided not to set the cap for the smartphone. That means the eligible people could buy any smartphones listed by selected service providers with RM200 rebate from now on.

For the eligible buyers, you could start to apply for the rebate from 1 January 2013 by registering online at  .

HTC Flyer with Maxis Ultimate Solid Plan

Days ago,Maxis introduced a group of new mobile internet plans called ‘ultimate plus, ultimate pro and ultimate solid, together with the official release of HTC Flyer.

With subscribing ultimate solid plan, customers could get an HTC Flyer with only RM195 cost after 24 months.Don’t be so happy since ultimate solid plan itself is not cheap at all.

That means you should pay RRP for HTC Flyer first when you subscribe ultimate solid plan and get RM96 monthly rebate for 24 months with actually paying RM152 monthly to enjoy the service. Most people still play with those tablets as sort of  entertainment devices on the go,I don’t think 16GB is really needed as nowadays quite a number of places have free WiFi connections.
