TIME quietly refreshed their home fibre internet plans recently. No more slow broadband from TIME- from 100Mbps up to 500Mbps is available within TIME Fibre network coverage map, pricing from RM 149 monthly.
No doubt that it’s the best plan in Malaysia up to date. Compared to TM Unifi, you have to pay RM229 for 50Mbps download speed(20Mbps upload) and this is the fastest plan from TM now. For Maxis 100Mbps plan, you have to pay RM 398 monthly which is 2.6 times more expensive than TIME.
However,TIME still only covers limited area and most of them are high rise buildings/high density area.If you are so lucky to stay within the coverage, I think TIME is the best option for the blazing fast internet experience. You can check the coverage over here.
I just hope TIME can cover my apartment, the sooner the better.
Malaysians always complain for slow broadband services, expensive bills. TM,as the ‘monopoly player’ in the country, finally introduces two new home fibre services, named as Unifi Advance Plan,to the public.
These new plans, however, unlike the existing VIP plans, provide asymmetrical speeds. For new Unifi 30Mbps priced starting from RM179 as promotion price,it’s 30Mbps for downlink,5Mbps for uplink;for 50Mbps plan priced starting from RM229 as promotion price,it’s 50Mbps for downlink & 10Mbps for uplink.
All new plans are bundled with HyppTV packs and the total price will be varied due to different HyppTV pack you choose. The details for new Unifi 30Mbps are as below:
You can enjoy free services such as HyppTV Everywhere on 2 devices, installation & Activation,DECT phone,500MB/day for TM WiFi,HyppTV set-top-box and Residential Gateway. The charge for voice call will be flat rate 20 sen/minute nationwide.

TM Unifi is a fibre optical service which provides up to 20Mbps internet and IPTV services to the users. The default modem that is given by TM is from D-Link.Many users founds that the performance is not so good, especially it will get frequent disconnection when it’s under heavy usage and not for good WiFi coverage too.
TP-Link,a leading brand on network products, sells a large variety of modem products and some of the users have tested to replace D-Link modem by TP-Link products such as TL-WR841N/ND Version 7 and TL-WR1043ND.
After months of testing, they have finally released official firmwares for fully support of Unifi service(including IPTV).The latest firmware for WR841N/ND is TL-WR841ND_v7_120221_MY;for WR1043ND is TL-WR1043ND_V1_120210(click the links for downloading the firmware).
