Facebook turns to be another Twitter?

Facebook had shown its new home page. That’s no surprise that it looks just like another Twitter, perhaps more complicated than Twitter.

new home page of facebook The core change is about “live stream”.It works on every word from your friends and let them display up to date.In addition,it also provides the filters in the left that you could get the only updates which you want easily.

I think Twitter should feel the real stress because Facebook has a very large group of users and it moves antennas everywhere.I’m so curious that what Twitter will do next.Let’s wait and see! :)

Magpie changes its way

Be a Magpie Magpie is the very first Twitter-link ads program I know. It’s a very unique idea to publish ads in private Twitter channel. However,as I told your guys before,it always lacked of enough sources.

Yesterday night I received an email claiming that Magpie is going to give more Magpie-Tweets to its participants. With this change, all Pay-per-View model ads will shift into besides the existing Pay-per-View model ads, more models such as Pay-per-Click,Pay-per-Lead,and Pay-per-Sale models are coming.

The details are as follow:

First of all at Magpie, we would like to say thanks for taking the plunge and getting involved first. Over the last few months, we have been overwhelmed with the enthusiasm by Twitterers wanting to get onboard. In fact, as a result we have found that we couldn’t satisfy the demand.

And so, we have been working really hard to turn this around.

Finally, more Magpie-Tweets!

We are really excited to announce that all of our hard work has paid off. We have recently signed contracts with a number of award-winning communications agencies – working with renowned global household brands.

So what does this mean for you? Well obviously initially more tweets, but another exciting opportunity that this presents is the opportunity for you to earn more money per tweet.

New Compensation Models

These new alignments allow us to implement additional models of compensation, which as a Magpie-Twitterer, you will have a choice to be involved in. Starting today, the Magpie Network will be offering the following new compensation models. These are: Pay-per-Click; Pay-per-Lead; and Pay-per-Sale – in addition to the Pay-per-View model (which has been used to date).

These new compensation models are linked to certain actions performed by your followers and each come with compensation rates that are up to 20% greater than currently offered through the Pay-per-View model. Such an action may simply involve clicking on a link within the Magpie-Tweet (“per click”), the purchase of goods (“per sale”), or the request for services, the registration on a website or the subscription to a newsletter (“per lead”).

At the pre-approval stage, you will be made aware of the compensation model linked to a particular campaign – enabling you to make an informed decision as to whether you want to participate or not. To keep you in control while introducing these new models, all accounts that previously had pre-approvals deactivated, will be altered and pre-approvals activated.

If you have any questions, comments or feedback please contact us on [email protected] or check out our updated FAQs at http://be-a-magpie/twitterer/faq. Also, please take a moment to check out our modified Terms and Conditions at http://be-a-magpie.com/twitterer/terms.

At Magpie we are all really excited about being able to offer you these new income opportunities as we are dedicated in converting your tweets into bling-bling!

Cooler Master NotePal Infinite

I shouted out in Twitter today morning that my laptop was sweating. It is always the hottest period in Malaysia when western countries cover with white snow.I had cleaned up my laptop last week and it has a bit improvements on cooling. With the raises of temperature in these days,I felt the surface was too warm.I checked it while full loading of CPU,it would be raised to 85 Degree Celsius. So I think to buy a cooler pad is very necessary.

Lowyat Plaza is the most popular collecting digital center in KL.It just locates in Bukit Bintang area and nearby Berjaya Time Square where I took my lunch. Thus,go there for seeking an IT product is a smart choice.

I had done some survey online asking for recommendations and the products from Cooler Master is the only brand I noted. My budget is within RM100,so I was looking for the product which was around this range. Finally I found that Cooler Master NotePal Infinite is quite cool, however,it was tagged at RM105 in all IT hypermarket.I decided to get a better price from other shops if possible.Well,it was not difficult as I found it pricing at RM95 at Sri Computer which is just next floor.Pay it and own it,my laptop will be happier. :)

Cooler Master NotePal Infinite Now I’m using it.It cuts down 3-5 Degree Celsius on average under room temperature(without air conditioner). And I like the ergonomic design as it comforts my hands after long-playing.Since the performance has achieve my need plus it prices economically compared to some other items,I think I’d have a right one.

Which cooler pad are you using on your laptop? How’s the performance?Share your experience here is most welcomed. :)

Magpie

I saw John Chow talking about Magpie several days ago.It seems to be an extended service based on Twitter that using the platform to publish ads through Twitter users.Shorten my words:Magpie publishes ads,we get paid.

Chirp, chirp!

It’s a good idea, but the problem is it may expense privacy because Magpie could access Twitter account in order to send out the advertising tweets.I try it now as I feel that Magpie should have considered such issues before they release it as a part of corporate responsibility.I trust it now and I hope I’ll trust it forever.

So once you registered there, you could set ads ratio(e.g. 5 tweets/1 ad).You could choose to have pre-approve magpie tweets. If you put this on,every time before sending out a ad tweet,it will send to you for approval first. And you could set a customize disclaimer for your magpie tweets(e.g. #magpie in every ad tweet).

Magpie Settings

So if you see some tweets starting with #magpie,it’s from Magpie.Whether it is ok,I will leave your guys to comment.
