Nokia Booklet 3G rolling out

Nokia Booklet 3G is a big star in today’s Nokia World 09.Microsoft is also promoting it because Nokia Booklet 3G will come out with Windows 7.

More details are shown to public on that event and I think most participants will like this product after they see the real one.

Nokia Booklet 3G I make some conclusions for the specifications.

  • Built in AGPS-available to use Windows Sensor and Location Platform, allowing your PC and programs to perform ‘location aware’ computing.
  • 3G/HSPA capabilities,providing excellent mobile connectivity
  • 12 hours of battery life making the possibility of all-day mobility
  • strong and robust machined aluminum chassis without any fan(quiet enough!)
  • glass covered for a crisp and clear view of the screen

Beside these,Nokia Booklet 3G includes a single HDMI port, 3 USB ports and a single headphone jack that doubles also for a microphone. From the official source,Nokia Booklet 3G will be available in some markets in the 4th quarter of this year. However, the price is still unknown. Finally, let’s get a closer look at this great product:

WAU and Family Pack

Microsoft currently is introducing Windows Anytime Upgrade(WAU) for Windows 7 to fit different needs from consumers over time.

Windows 7 Starter to Windows 7 Home Premium: $79.99

Windows 7 Home Premium to Windows 7 Professional: $89.99

Windows 7 Home Premium to Windows 7 Ultimate: $139.99

From October 22th,consumers could get Windows 7 retail packages which contains a upgrade key for WAU purpose.People who live in the 13 countries(Australia, Belgium, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the Netherlands, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, the UK or the US) are able to upgrade from Windows online store while others may be only get that at a store near you.

Microsoft also announced that Windows 7 Home premium edition will have family pack which will provide 3 licenses at $149.99.That’s great! It means family users only need to buy that pack and let this advanced OS run on 3 PCs at home with a quite reasonable price.

I just wonder whether the price could be a bit cheaper in Asia.

Windows 7 gonna be ready

In July 22,Microsoft announced that Windows 7 will be officially released on October 22.According to some past experience of releasing new products, many people were talking that Windows 7 may delay to come out. However,it seems not be the truth this time.

Windows7

RTM(build 7600.16385) had been distributed to the manufacturers. In fact this build of Windows 7 was already leaked several days ago and so a few of people may enjoy it now.I just wish that the local retail price could be attractive and never scares me.

Are you guys willing to get a piece of Windows 7?

I heard the footsteps of Windows 7

The old rumor said that Windows 7 RTM(Release to Manufacturing) would come out on July 13th.Of course, this news had been dead because the date is past and we haven’t seen any Windows 7 RTM from any sources.

Recently from the Windows blog,Brandon LeBlanc told that the real RTM version of Windows 7 will be seen at the second half of this July and the final version(Release to public) will be on the shelf on October 22th,2009.

At the same time, the pre-order sales for Windows 7 in US,Europe and Japan hits a great record. That means a large number of people are looking forward to this new powerful product.

Frankly speaking,I’m willing to get it too as I like to scratch the fresh stuff and I want to escape from the troubles caused by Windows Vista asap.

Of course,I still need to wait here just like you guys.

Google Chrome OS

Google announced yesterday that they wanna join the game to create a new operating system which combines all needs of the people who live in the web.

As the past launch of Google Chrome-the slim web browser is quite successful, they hope that the new OS-the extension of Google Chrome could be light enough to be installed and used in netbooks. They also intend to make it be available to other computer markets(laptops and desktops) which may cause a face-to-face competition with Windows 7 and Apple Mac OS.

Anyway,as a consumer,I think most of us are willing to see more choices on the shelf. All right!Just wait for one year and we would be able to try the brand new OS.

You could reserve your cheap Windows 7 now

Microsoft has been providing some methods to pre-order Windows 7 at half-off prices, including Microsoft store.

Windows 7 half-off prices And from now on until October 22,2009-the date that Windows 7 will officially be released, the customers who buy Windows Vista could entitle to get the same class product of Windows 7 free of charges.

Hurry up!The chance is limited.

PS:Asian people need not buy it immediately as the past experience tells me that the retail price in Asia will be much cheaper than American/European market and some promotional event will be held too.

Windows 7 Pre-order Offer

Corporate Vice President of Windows Consumer Marketing gave out the great news that Microsoft will offer at least half-off discount on pre-order Windows 7.Meanwhile,Windows 7 will also be released at more reasonable prices than never ever they did.

Announcing the Windows 7 Upgrade Option Program & Windows 7 Pricing

He announced that the pre-order offer will start from tomorrow and it will be held globally. As Windows 7 has a very good reputation,I’m quite interested in getting that fresh stuff as soon as possible. How about you?You could get the offer here.
